LIIAR TV4U Double Page Spread

I researched existing TV Listings magazines which are already on the market. From looking at the magazines I feel the suitable one to publish the new TV Channel launch in is What’s on TV.

This TV Listings Magazine seems to appeal to everyone of all ages. Over 4 million people buy this TV listings magazine. The TV Listings magazine has the latest gossip, and latest news. As this magazine does interviews with soap stars. I am going to launch the double page spread by interviewing the stars from the new TV Channel, TV4U. The Two stars I am going to be interviewing is Sweet and Sour.

Language
The language of my double page spread will be the images. The images I am considering using, is an image of Sweet and Sour, the TV4U Logo, and images of the other shows on TV4U. I will also include plenty of text, this includes the interviews, the headline, and names of the show.
Background Colour
The double page spread is going to be bright and colourful , I am not going to use dark colours, because after looking at the articles, House and Dr Seuss’ Hears a Who, I realised the colours are quite bright. I know that bright colours connotate youth, so the colours I use are going to have to connotate youth, the colours that I could include, are light blues and whites. Usually in TV Listing Magazines, the main background colour used is White. I am going to consider this, as White is a good colour that makes text and images stand out.
Text
The headline of the double page spread is going to be bold, an din large letters so it stands out to the viewers eyes, and give an indication to what the article is going to be about. As I am going to be aiming my article at the audience aged 15-21, I need to make it appealing to them. From talking to people in the age group of 15-21, it seems that younger people don’t want to read too much. So I cannot include too much text. The text I do include need to be in colours that stand out from the light background. The text colours I am going to consider are Black and Purple. These colours are slightly darker, but I know that dark colours do appeal to younger people. I am going to include when the channel is launched, and what satellite and digital channels it is on.
TV Logo
I am going to include the TV Logo for TV4U so it becomes recognisable. I need my younger audience to recognise the logo, so they know to look out for the logo. It is to create a relationship with the audience in a way. The more recognised the logo becomes, the more people will tune in to this new TV Channel.

Institution

If I was to actually publish the double page spread in real life, I would use What's on TV. They would be the main institution who would design the double page spread, and who would interview the star. But as its only me who can work on this I will be the one designing the double page spread and doing the interview.
IPC connects is a recognised brand, that reaches out to the female population. The mass market of IPC is made up of 53% of the female population, this in reality is 10 million women! The digital brand of IPC connect reaches out to a further 2.4 million mass market women. IPC’s Connect Audience of mass market women ar every valuable and responsive main shoppers, and who are responsible for the vast majority of UK purchasing decisions.
Ideology
The ideology behind the double page spread is to advertise the new TV4U channel. I need to get the appropriate information across to the audience. The appropriate information i need t include is, when it is launching, what is on the TV Channel, and what Digital channels it is going to be on. The idea of interviewing the stars of TV4U is so the younger readers can see the sort of stars that are going to on the new TV Channel, it allows the younger people to recognise the stars. I want to endorse the sort of programmes that are on the channels, and convince the readers to tune in for the new TV programmes.
Audience
The audience I am aiming my double page spread at is young people aged 15-21 years old. The images I use are going to have to be contemporary and modern, as the audience I am aiming my TV channel at are young and contemporary
Representation
The audience i am representing is a young audience aged 15-21. I want bother genders to be able to watch my TV Channel and be entertained. I want the audience to be able to get in from college/ university, sit down and relax. I want the audience to watch a TV Channel that i will remember and switch back to when they next watch the television.
